Nibana Terrain Guide & Rules
Version 2.1. Last updated: 19 Feb 2020
Terms and conditions
During your entire stay on the Nibana terrain, the General Terms and Conditions apply.
Phones and devices
We ask you to keep your devices stored away as much as possible. Preferably switched off in your accommodation or otherwise out of sight. Phones are not allowed in the wellness area. Using phones is not allowed during workshops.
Photography
If you want to take a photo or video during Nibana, we ask you to only include people that have verbally consented to you that this is OK. Taking a selfie or group photo is allowed. Taking photos of other people without asking them is a big no.
Nibana itself may have a media team who will be taking photos or videos occasionally. This team can be visually recognized. During registration we offer the possibility of wearing a special bracelet, which tells our team not to capture you on film.
When someone of our media team is about to record you, and you don’t want that, you can cross your arms in front of your chest and look them in the eye to indicate that you do not want to be included in this moment. Use this whenever you want to. They very much appreciate you taking care of yourself. Be aware that they may not always see it in each moment, so you can always walk up to them to check.
Terrain borders
Do not cross the borders of the terrain onto the private lands of neighbors. It’s important that we maintain a good relationship with them. When leaving the terrain onto the public road, please wear tops and bottoms, to avoid upsetting the neighbors.
Wellness area
There are some guidelines to keep the wellness enjoyable for everyone. Take a shower before entering the hot tub or the sauna. Wash off any facepaint, make-up, sunscreen, et cetera. Don’t take soap into the hot tub or sauna. Don’t engage in sexual activity. Keep the space tidy and don’t leave clothes, towels and other stuff behind. Take care of the fire together. Respect your own comfort level: there’s no need to be naked in this area, even if everyone else is.
Violence, discrimination and bigotry
Violence, discrimination and bigotry will not be tolerated. Please report incidents to the coordination team, who will look into the situation and take appropriate action.
Event specific guides
The guide above applies to every Nibana event. On top of that, event specific rules apply:
