Terrain Guide & Rules for the Conscious Winter Burn 2020
Version 1.0. Last updated: 23 November 2019
General Terrain Guide & Rules
In addition to these event specific guidelines, the General Terrain Guide & Rules apply.
Intoxication
We keep Nibana free of drugs and alcohol. Both drugs and alcohol are completely banned from the festival terrain. If you happen to have alcohol or marijuana with you during your travels, you can keep it in your car (or someone else's) on the parking lot. All other drugs are not welcome on the terrain nor the parking lots. Being under the influence of any drugs or alcohol is not allowed. If you break any of these rules, you will be asked to pack your stuff and leave the terrain immediately.
Smoking
Smoking is only allowed outside. It's not allowed within five meters of the entrance of any building. Don’t leave cigarette butts on the ground.
Nudity
All genders are allowed to be topless on the terrain. We do ask that you wear some sort of bottoms. Full nudity is welcome only in the wellness area, in the Intimate Playgrounds and during certain workshops and activities, in which case it will be indicated during the workshop (and ideally beforehand). Being nude is never expected of anyone.
Wellness area
There are some guidelines to keep the wellness enjoyable for everyone. Take a shower before entering the hot tub or the sauna. Wash off any facepaint, make-up, sunscreen, et cetera. Don’t take soap into the hot tub or sauna. Don’t engage in sexual activity. Keep the space tidy and don’t leave clothes, towels and other stuff behind. Take care of the fire together. Respect your own comfort level: there’s no need to be naked in this area, even if everyone else is.
Silent eating area
Please respect the silence in the silent eating area during meal times. It’s a place to eat in silence, reflect, meditate and rest.
Fire
Fire is only allowed in the dedicated fire spots, which are clearly recognizable. You can add wood to keep the fire burning. Don’t turn it into a huge fire. When sitting around the fire, please take a moment to see where the fire extinguishers are, in case of emergency. It's not allowed to make a fire in any other locations.
Leave no trace
We ask you to help us leave the terrain and the buildings better than we found it. Everyone is responsible for putting any garbage in the appropriate trash containers. We ask you to leave the terrain with all the stuff you arrived with. So don’t leave anything behind.
Lost & found
Did you lose something? First look in the lost & found box in the area where you might have lost it. Once a day, lost items will be taken to the central Lost & Found location.
Emergency
If there is an emergency, such as fire, please take care of your own safety and inform the Nibana team and/or emergency services (phone number 112).
Medic first aid
In principle, everyone carries a responsibility to take care of themselves. Nibana has a first aid kit available in the Center Camp. It’s a shared responsibility to find people with medic first aid skills when they are needed.
Feedback
We want to constantly improve this guide and very much welcome your feedback. So don't hesitate to get in touch with us and send us your suggestions.
